Doesn't get much better than this. Went with a Martin Churchill hybrid- you can't go wrong for $10. It's worth more than that to me, & I enjoy the challenge of keeping these things alive in the mountains here where it's rained almost every day since winter broke, even if just for a few minutes.
This guy & the others I've got are adapting quite nicely- my biggest challenge is not letting the soil get saturated, & keeping them from this sun- it's been killing off plants that used to fare pretty well in this climate. So the cacti go in a spot where they can get radiant sunlight while sitting in shade.
Tip- get your soil here. They seem to like the same soil they spawned from, so I buy it here & don't mind paying extra for shipping. It's worth it. This whole deal is worth it
