Super happy and healthy!!
Colors of actual cactus can vary. Some are grown in full hot sun with minimal summet watering, and others in shade with more consistent watering. If you like the lighter, redder hues, keep in full sun. If dark green is preferred, provide more shade.
Flowers may or may not be present/intact upon arrival based on season. You'll have to wait for another bloom! Blooms usually happen multiple times per spring/summer
**picture of flowers of other similar Rainbows show some of the colors you may get. Blooming on May 14th 2018 and 2019**. Also see our Blog April 2020.
We sell these in 3.5" , 1 gallon/approx 6", and 8" containers.
We also sell EXACT specimens, just type in "exact rainbow" in our search bar.
They grow fast if they are taken care of and happy! Sometimes they can split on sides if they take in extra water during our watering, very rarely causes any fatal damage, especially during summer when they are growing so fast! Usually when ours split it's the big one in center. Pups that have come off scars, but with new growth, these are evolving balls of ball shaped cacti, always changing in appearance.
Sometimes critters may have nibbled on fresh softer babies, it happens, and scars can occur, but with future growth these marks will also get covered up.
If your cactus fills the complete container, it is very likely ready for fresh soil and a larger pot if you want more outward growth etc.
Plant together in a large pot and you'll have for many, many years to come!!!!!
These are what you call ball cactus, they grow in round shapes vs columnar that grow long and tall. Pups/balls may fall off during shipping, or naturally in life. Don't panic, simply repot into soil, this is how these guys are propagated/turned into new plants!!
Handle with CARE and please see our FAQ for basic care info.
Protect from EXTREME hot sunlight initially until you can slowly introduce to their new home. Protect from Extreme/Freezing Temps!
