How do they stay in place?
Succulents do not always come with long stems,
most rosettes (these cuttings) grow close to the soil line.

Floral wiring is often used by the pros when making arrangements
until they naturally root and can hold themselves tight!

See YouTube videos showing how cuttings can be secured for bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, decor, etc.
How do cuttings stay alive?
They no longer have a way to take in water. They will slowly decline in appearance until they are rooted at which time they will begin perking up quickly.

Succulent cuttings will often look worse before looking better, allow rooting to insure this!

You can trim them yourself and have additional cuttings!

Wedding Bouquet

I ordered succulents for a bridal bouquet I was designing. They arrived about a week before the wedding, which was perfect timing! I ordered more than I thought I would need, just to have some to choose from for the bridal bouquet, and it worked out very well. I am now in the process of potting up the extra cuttings. I gave the bride a flowerpot and instructions for potting up the succulents from her bouquet as a wedding present! I look forward to ordering again from The Succulent Source.

Thank you for your order and sending the picture. WOW! What a gorgeous bouquet. Please let your cuttings grow roots before you pot them. You can keep them on a counter or table until the roots start to grow out (2-6 weeks). Until then, don't water them in any way (spray bottle, etc) and keep them in indirect sunlight. You will now have amazing memories of your special day.

Prom boutonniere

My daughter wanted to use succulents for her prom corsage and boutonniere . We ordered from the succulent source, created the items, and then planted them afterwards as a souvenir. They arrived in good shape - we had a nice variety of colors, shapes, and sizes to use. We planted the extras. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone wanting to try. I have never been great a floral arrangements, but am really happy with how these turned out.
