Rosette Leaf Starters - 10 Count

10 Leafs Per Order

Place in the dry shade and wait a few weeks and they’ll begin to root.  Some may begin showing root hairs sooner than others, lots of factors involved.  You can also lay on top of soil and the same thing will happen.  You can also insert partially into soil, make sure you insert the end that was broken away from the main plant, not upside down.

Succulent cuttings are also an option,  but these leaf starters are a lot cheaper for those with a little patience!  When laying on top of or into soil, place correct end in the soil(end that came off of mother plant)   I also don't water for the first 2 weeks, keep in shade, no full sun until rooted and growing and then introduce slowly.

** Do not be alarmed if they do not look perfect! upon arrival! They are just leaves and will likely shrivel up completely after rooting and or forming a new tiny rosette!  The new growth is the important part.  Consider them a seed, not the plant that comes from the seed!   If they have a crack, or rough edge, or wilted, or.... don't despair!!!  You are not buying a perfect leaf!  If a leaf turns black and soggy/mushy,  throw it away.  Some customers have 100% success, some customers fail miserably, too much sun, moisture, humidity???  We cannot guarantee these guys, they are a cheap opportunity to try propagating succulents at the most basic level.  Hope this makes sense!

We also try to always add a few extras w every order.

Will purchase again!

Got more than 10 leaves (13?), all in great condition. None of them rotted or died in any other way. At a little over 50% of them have put out BOTH roots and babies, all of them have at least sprouted roots. So awesome to see these little guys grow - takes a lot of time for sure, as a relatively new propagator, I don't think I realized how long it would take (months! expect more than a year depending on the conditions you're able to offer!), but SO satisfying. Will DEFINITELY be purchasing more leaves again. REALLY affordable way of getting some plants, just add a grow light, some water, and patience :) Shipped super fast too!

Amazing Results!

I was very impressed with the leaves I received, I believe only one or two out of the 100 I ordered weren't usable to start. Almost all have big roots already and several have babies forming. It's so much fun to check on these every day and watch their progress. Makes me feel like I actually might have a green thumb. Here's just one of the trays I have going, the other looks just as great.

Beautiful Babies

I'm thrilled with my order! My leaves (and other items) came quickly and were gorgeous! My leaves are already shooting out roots and as you can see one even sprouted a baby bud already! Now to leave them be & see how many plants I get from them!

Propagation

I ordered some leaves from Succulent Source, they were big and filled with water. I got at least 25% to propagate. Thanks for my new baby rosettes.

Worth it

I'd never really tried propagating by leaves before, but they were cheap so I figured why not? I've had them laying on a cookie sheet with a little dirt for 20 days, a few shriveled up & a few look the same as the day I got them, but about half of them have roots! I can't stop checking them to see if any new ones have rooted haha
