Trichocereus…First time release…
This cactus is one of my favorite trichs here at the nursery for a few reasons. I’m a big fan of TPMs, and this one is kind of similar, but a little different, with longer spines and it’s chunkier! A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. MISPLANT himself at his home, there’s a post of me with my truck loaded up with a lot of cool specimens, shocks sagging, wallet lighter, and this was one of those. I planted them all in the same area, the goat amphitheater section, they’re enjoying the soil and location, and many of them have buds forming as well. Speaking of buds, which will hopefully become flowers, and then produce seeds, go check out https://misplant.net/ if you’re looking for seeds! He’s likely a part of almost every trich collection out there! Can I get an Amen? Back to this one… I made some cuttings last year, potted them, forgot about ‘em, rediscovered them in the middle of a table last week(see one of the past pictures), and it appears I even gave them a name! Dang, I forgot I named it, getting old, another thing I didnt remember!
Anyways, I just wanted to share this unique trich specimen from a unique gentleman with all of of you, so, introducing, another, of, “Bob’s Monstrose Creation”s, aka BMC. Now I gotta hope he approves of the name, if he sees this, or I’ll know, if you know you know!
Lastly, and most importantly, and far greater than any cactus we may hold dearly in our hearts, go out and practice kindness, daily, because it’s a habit worth having, and it’s a habit worth sharing.
Peace, and
Cheers!
This specimen is potted in a 1 gallon nursery container. Ready for your collection.
