I’ve been ordering from The Succulent Source since last summer, and I’ve received a number of plants in that time — from everyday pieces to collector plants. This order was a “we pick” EC139 crested pachanoi, so I let them choose the plant for me.
They chose very well.
The crest I received was full, firm, healthy, and clearly established. It matched the quality shown in their listings and honestly exceeded my expectations. No camera tricks and no disappointment when the box was opened — just a beautiful plant that was packed carefully and arrived in excellent condition.
As someone who actually grows cactus, you can tell when a plant has been rushed for sale versus grown patiently. These were grown properly. That matters more than anything else.
What keeps me coming back isn’t only the plants, though. Darren and Lora run this as a real family nursery, not a plant warehouse. Communication has always been consistent, packing is done with care, and there’s a clear pride in what they send out to customers.
A “we pick” purchase always requires trust, and this one confirmed it was well placed. Beautiful plants, honest representation, and genuine care behind the scenes. I’m very happy with this purchase and look forward to future ones.
