Description

Trichocereus Bogan OP, op meaning open pollinated, likely something short spined as these seedlings have short spines! These beautiful specimens will be shipped in their 4" square containers. Origin info below is from Patrick Noll, a German Cactus and Trichocereus collector, enthusiast, seller, all around wealth of knowledge, check out his website!

"The Bogan clone has one of the funniest backgrounds of all the clones that are known in the community. It all goes back to the year 2006, when the SAB Member DuG discovered a very cool type of (back then, suspected Trichocereus macrogonus) growing in front of a house and named it Bogan. He initially asked for a cutting (which he was lucky enough to get) and next time he got there, he realized that the large motherplants had been hacked down by the “bogan” homeowners. And not only had they hacked them down, but they also tried to burn them. He immediately asked if he could take them with him and they were more than happy to get rid of them…because…you know, cacti don´t burn so well. Here is DuG´s original picture on SAB just to show you how they were looking back then".

Top-notch cactus and service

The cactus I ordered is very healthy, and the overall experience of ordering from the Succulent Source was a positive and easy one. The cactus shipped very fast (in fact, faster than either of the two other companies I ordered cuttings from). It makes an excellent addition to my ornamental garden. I highly recommend this one.

Grown from seed

First time I’ve grown anything from seed and after following some instructions viola! Was very satisfying and relaxing getaway from it all taking care of my babies. Great seeds and I used seed soil they sent me which made it easier I believe to suc-seed. Will be ordering more once these are in pots, highly recommend growing from seed.
